Accreditation of an institution of higher education by the Commission indicates that it meets or exceeds criteria for the assessment of institutional quality periodically applied though a peer review process. An accredited college or university is one which has available the necessary resources to achieve its stated purposes through appropriate educational programs, is substantially doing so, and gives reasonable evidence that it will continue to do so in the foreseeable future. Institutional integrity is also addressed through accreditation.
Accreditation by the Commission is not partial but applies to the institution as a whole. As such, it is not a guarantee of every course or program offered, or the competence of individual graduates. Rather, it provides reasonable assurance about the quality of opportunities available to students who attend the institution.

The primary purpose of the New England College Institutional Review Board for the Protection of Human Subjects in Research (IRB) is to protect the rights and welfare of human research participants by ensuring that physical, psychological, legal, and/or social risks to subjects are minimized and when present, justified by the importance of the research and agreed to by participants. New England College takes a strong stance against sexual misconduct, dating/domestic violence and stalking. Employees and students should address sexual misconduct, dating or domestic violence, and stalking in order for everyone to enjoy a work and learning environment free from offensive and hostile behavior. These policies are based on a number of federal laws, including Title VII (1964 Civil Right Act) that prohibits sex-based discrimination in employment, Title IX (1972 Education Amendment) that prohibits sex-based discrimination against students, and the Campus Sexual Violence Elimination Act of 2013. In addition, the Final Rules regarding Title IX released in 2020 have informed these policies.
Employees and students are strongly encouraged to seek information about campus resources available to them (including the information listed below) and to disclose cases of sexual misconduct, dating or domestic violence and stalking so that situations can be addressed.

All students registering for a course at 正规赌篮球的软件 are assigned unique identification numbers and corresponding usernames. Before a student can access any information resource on the College’s network(s), the student must be authenticated by the directory service using his/her username and password. Students are assigned a password when their account is first established, and they are required to change their password when they initially activate their account. Passwords must be suitably complex. There are no additional charges associated with verification.
All users of the College’s learning management systems are responsible for maintaining the security of usernames, passwords, and other access credentials as required. An account is assigned to an individual for the exclusive use by that individual. Attempting to discover another user’s password or attempts to gain unauthorized access to another person’s files or mail is prohibited.
In addition, faculty teaching online courses have a role in identity verification insofar as they can be alerted to changes in student behavior: sudden shifts in academic performance and changes in writing style or language used in discussion groups or email. These changes may indicate academic integrity issues. Faculty routinely use a variety of assessment instruments and regularly ask students to share in appropriate ways important ideas learned from texts and references and require research projects and paper assignments to be submitted in steps.
Copyright infringement is the act of exercising, without permission or legal authority, one or more of the exclusive rights granted to the copyright owner under section 106 of the Copyright Act (Title 17 of the United States Code). These rights include the right to reproduce or distribute a copyrighted work. In the filesharing context, downloading or uploading substantial parts of a copyrighted work without authority constitutes an infringement. Penalties for copyright infringement include civil and criminal penalties. In general, anyone found liable for civil copyright infringement may be ordered to pay either actual damages or “statutory” damages affixed at not less than $750 and not more than $30,000 per work infringed. For “willful” infringement, a court may award up to $150,000 per work infringed. A court can, in its discretion, also assess costs and attorneys’ fees. For details, see Title 17, United States Code, Sections 504, 505. Willful copyright infringement can also result in criminal penalties, including imprisonment of up to five years and fines of up to $250,000 per offense. SARA consumer protection provisions require the institution’s home state, through its SARA State Portal Entity, to investigate and resolve allegations of dishonest or fraudulent activity by the state’s SARA-participating institutions, including the provision of false or misleading information.
A student has the right to lodge a complaint or grievance. The institution should ensure that all concerns and complaints of students are addressed fairly and are resolved promptly. Student complaints relating to consumer protection laws offered under the terms and conditions of the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA), must first be filed with the institution to seek resolution.
